Meeting the Challenge - now THAT'S smart
The QTU is committed to improving education in our most difficult schools.
Meeting the Challenge is a strategy to improve learning and working conditions for students and QTU members in our socio-economic complex schools.
The QTU recognises that some Queensland schools offer particularly difficult challenges due to socio-economic complexity.
With your support, the QTU will be able to make a difference.
Our campaign aims to:
-
introduce better recruitment and retention strategies for complex schools;
-
secure State Treasury-funded additional resourcing;
-
convince the Department to introduce a range of initiatives designed to support teachers working in the most complex schools;
-
focus on delivering improved behaviour management support; and
-
redress issues related to teaching and learning conditions.
Please take the time to download and read this pamphlet and the flyer about meeting the challenge in Logan schools.
With your support, the QTU will be able to make a difference.
