Access to Departmental Records
The Public Service Regulation 2008 gives teachers the right to have a copy of any document that may be used in away that could be detrimental to your interest.
Additionally you may request to inspect a record, take extracts from or copy details in the record.
This inspection is required to take place within 21 days after the request is made.
Employee records covered by these provisions include:
(a) reports, correspondence items or other documents about the employee’s work performance, conduct or history;
(b) a medical report about the employee; and
(c) a written allegation of misconduct by the employee.
