Why go it alone?
If you know a pre-service teacher on prac or have a new and beginning teacher at your school, please share this short video with them and encourage them to join more than 44,000 of their colleagues as a member of the Queensland Teachers' Union.
The first few years of your career can be tough. Knowing where you can get advice and support around employment matters such as navigating temporary contract paperwork, probation and teacher registration can ease some of the pressure new and beginning teachers can feel.
That’s where the QTU comes in. Our Union has a proud history of supporting new and beginning teachers, and offers free associate membership for pre-service education students. QTU membership provides new teachers with protection, advocacy and access to professional, industrial and legal support. To ensure that the beginning teachers at your school enjoy the peace of mind that membership brings, encourage them to join the Union from their first day of teaching.
Union dues are tax deductible and our members work together to protect and promote both the teaching profession and public education.
