Promotional position classification structure
As part of the enterprise bargaining process a classification structure affecting promotional positions was agreed to for implementation from the commencement of the 2009 school year.
The classification structure transitions all teachers across into one of three streams:-

Stream 1: Teaching Stream

Stream 2: Heads of Program
-
Stream 3: School Leaders
Stream 1: Teaching Stream
Stream 1: Teaching Stream includes all classroom teachers. The classroom teacher classification remains unchanged.
Stream 2: Heads of Program
Stream 2: Heads of Program includes the following classifications:-

Heads of Curriculum;
-
Heads of Department;
-
Heads of Special Education Services;
-
Guidance Officers; and
-
Senior Guidance Officers
Stream 3: School Leaders
Stream 3: School Leaders includes the following classifications:-

Deputy Principals

Principals
-
Executive Principal
