Last pay rise under EB6
The last increase under EB6 will be paid from 1 July 2011. The increase is 6.5 per cent for those in promotional positions and 4 per cent for classroom teachers. (The new experienced senior teacher classification created last year was the equivalent of an additional 2.5 per cent increase). The nominal expiry date of the EB6 agreement is 30 June, 2012.
The new rates will soon be accessible on the QTU website.
DET has advised the first full fortnight at the new salary will be paid on 13 July, 2011.
EB7 claim development
The process of developing the claim for the next round of enterprise bargaining will be launched at the QTU Conference being held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from 27 – 29 June 2011.
Members and branches will be invited to submit suggestions for inclusion in the claim. The claim will be endorsed at the QTU State Council meeting on 5 November, 2011. Negotiations are scheduled to commence no later than 1 April, 2012.
Working Australia Census
The Working Australia Census being conducted by the ACTU closes on 1 July, 2011.
