It is important that there is QTU is represented on the board. I have been a QTU as a teacher and now am a Principal QTU rep and would be comfortable taking that lens into the conversations on the QCT board. I love teaching and being a Principal – upholding everything that makes it a great profession is critical going forward. |

Renae Johnstone (Ren) I am a proud QTU member and will use my position on the QCT board to help our members. I am a member of the QTU women teachers and girls education committee, the professional issues committee and the able SIG. A position on the board would enable me to advocate for the interests of these groups. As a teacher in a regional school, I would also advocate for teachers from all over the state, as the needs of each region vary. I believe I could use my position on the QCT board to fight for initiatives that could reduce the workload of our great teachers, and also increase the community’s perception of teachers. |
