Master Teachers’ duties
Q: Do Master Teachers’ have classroom teaching responsibilities?
A: Master Teachers should not be timetabled onto regular classes (including regularly providing non-contact time for other teachers), though they may be required to cover class time for emergent reasons, when the usual relief arrangements are unavailable.
Master Teachers’ time should be focused on working collaboratively with their classroom colleagues to help improve literacy and numeracy outcomes and enhance teaching practices.
