Paid parental leave

Q: If I am on DET’s paid parental leave (PPL), can I also access the Commonwealth Paid Parental Leave (CCPL) scheme?

A*: You can access CCPL at the same time as DET’s paid parental leave, or you can take special unpaid leave after your PPL then move onto the CCPL, which is 18 weeks’ leave paid at the national minimum wage.
