PD during staff meetings
Myth : We have to attend additional professional development during staff meetings.
Fact : School principals may call a staff meeting outside of school hours.
Professional development outside of school hours is voluntary, therefore you cannot be compelled to undertake professional development outside of rostered duty time.
Consequently staff meetings cannot be used as a means of making professional development compulsory.
