Date for TAFE appeal hearing set
The parties (QTU and DETE) appeared today before Vice President Linnane in the Industrial Court in relation to setting down a hearing date for the DETE appeal against Deputy President Bloomfield’s decision to refer TAFE enterprise bargaining to arbitration.
Vice President Linnane has set down the TAFE appeal for 16 December 2013. The hearing will consider legal arguments about whether the decision to refer the matter to arbitration was valid. It will not consider the merits of either the DETE or QTU enterprise bargaining positions.
