TAFE Inquiry – Specific Examples of Effects of TAFE Reforms Sought
As previously advised, the Australian Senate Education and Employment Reference Committee has announced an inquiry into TAFE. Submissions are due by 7 March, and a final report will be made by 13 May. We encourage members to make submissions.
The AEU has advised that it would appreciate “specific examples” of the effects of recent changes to TAFE organisation and funding. This could include impacts on individual TAFE institutes, teachers, students and local communities in terms of, for example, losses in enrolments, fee increases and cuts to programs and courses.
Any information that members can supply would be greatly appreciated. Send to the QTU at: firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday 26 February.
If you wish to make a submission to the Inquiry itself, click here for information.
