As with every enterprise bargaining negotiation, the QTU will be pursuing fair salary increases across the profession. Three priority areas for negotiations have emerged from member feedback over the life of the current agreement.
As such, the QTU is proposing that these be key themes in the EB 10 claim:
- Teaching and learning conditions
Over the coming term, QTU members will have the opportunity to provide input into our log of claims (the improvements in salary and conditions we will be requesting from our employer – the state government) at branch meetings and workplace meetings.
Organisers and workplace reps will have resources to share to guide discussion and member input. To have a say in the upcoming round of enterprise bargaining negotiations the QTU encourages all members to attend their upcoming branch meetings.
Don’t be fooled - Only the QTU (or other registered organisations) can negotiate an agreement with the state government-your employer.
