FREE professional learning for QTU members

The QTU is committed to supporting our members through the implementation of new initiatives. With the forthcoming statewide roll-out of the new highly accomplished teacher and lead teacher classifications, we recognised the need for quality professional development. Deciding to apply for certification can be daunting, so we want to make sure you have all the information you need to make the right decisions.

We have therefore developed a series of FREE professional development programs for teachers and school leaders. These member-only sessions have been extremely popular, with more than 3,300 members attending during 2018 and more sessions planned for 2019.

PLEASE NOTE: The QTU and the department are working together to ensure consistent messaging is provided to school leaders, teachers and applicants. The content of the sessions has been collaboratively developed, so if you have already attended a QTU session there is no need to attend a department session and vice versa.

Thank you to the 3,300+ members who participated in the QTU HAT and lead teacher professional development program during 2018.  The QTU introductory information sessions have now concluded, but further in-depth sessions will be scheduled during 2019.

If you missed the introductory sessions, view the QTU member only webinar here.
