Fortnightly dues payment
Queensland Teachers' Journal, Vol 127 No 8, 2 November 2022, page no. 6
Based on member feedback, a fortnightly direct debit payment option for membership dues is now available.
A number of QTU members identified that paying membership dues in smaller amounts, more regularly will assist in managing their budget. As always, the QTU listened and acted.
This payment option is one of many afforded to members and potential members to meet individual budgetary needs and to ensure they can belong to our amazing organisation (see below). If you would like to change to this payment method, contact our wonderful Membership Team on 3512 9000.
Remember, if you are experiencing legitimate financial hardship, contact Lynn Cowie-McAlister via email at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can help. It is our aim to support members when they are at their most vulnerable. We will work with you to assist in maintaining your membership.
High membership density ensures our ongoing ability to succeed. If you have not already, invite a potential member to join and contribute to our ongoing strength
Pay when it suits you
Annually: You can pay your annual dues in full before 31 March by credit card, BPAY or direct debit. A 10 per cent discount is available to permanent teachers who pay their annual dues in full prior to 31 March.
Monthly: You can enrol in our direct debit plan and pay by instalment on set dates throughout the year, between February and October (this option does not qualify for the 10 per cent early payment discount).
Fortnightly: You can set up a recurring fortnightly payment via BPAY, enrol in our fortnightly direct debit plan, which is debited automatically from your bank account, or log into myQTU (www.qtu.asn.au/myqtu) each fortnight and make a part-payment via credit card. These three options do not qualify for the 10 per cent early payment discount.
Direct debit: Email your bank details to email@example.com or call our Membership Team on 3512 9000 and provide them over the phone. You can also log into myQTU via our website and opt to pay your dues by direct debit. Complete the direct debit authority and submit your application once finished. We will process your application and email you a direct debit statement outlining debit dates and amounts within two business days.
BPAY: To make payment via BPAY, log in to your online banking app and enter your BPAY details, which can be found on your annual invoice. You can also retrieve this information by logging in to myQTU via our website.
Credit card (via Australia Post Billpay): You can make payment at any Australia Post outlet using the Billpay information on your invoice. You can retrieve a copy of your invoice from myQTU. You can also log in to myQTU and opt to pay by credit card, which will take you to the Australia Post webpage. This webpage will automatically fill in your customer reference number and full amount payable. You can edit the amount payable and make regular part-payments.
