TAFE: CQU certified agreement
Queensland Teachers' Journal, Vol 123 No 3, 13 April 2018, p22
On 9 March, the QTU received notification that the Central Queensland University Enterprise Agreement 2017 had been approved by the Fair Work Commission.
Prior to this, the Vice Chancellor had approved an administrative pay increase, in accordance with the first increase in the agreement. The reason given was the prolonged time that the proposed agreement was before the Fair Work Commission. This means that CQU VET educators received salary increases of 4.5 per cent per annum as of 3 March.
No other conditions or changes came into effect until 16 March, as was notified by Fair Work in their letter of approval of the agreement. There are some implementation issues which needed to be discussed, including the transition from five weeks of NAT and four weeks of recreation leave to the new reflection and professional preparation (RPP) time and increased recreation leave entitlements.
