29 April 2022: Labour Day 2022 - Let's celebrate our profession
No. 04-22, 29 April 2022 | Download PDF
TO: QTU MEMBERS
This year when you make plans for the Labour Day weekend, make the choice to march with us as we celebrate our profession and our Union right across the state.
This year we are negotiating our pay and conditions in EB10, so let’s march as one for what is best for our profession. A good turnout at Labour Day celebrations is a chance to show that we are united, not divided, and proud of our profession.
You will find us in a sea of purple shirts as we demand that every state school be funded properly and fairly to ensure that every child gets the best education, regardless of their background or circumstances. You will also find us marching to say that now, more than ever, Australians need TAFE – our strong, trusted and public vocational education system. TAFE belongs to all of us.
As always, we march to demonstrate that the strength of the union movement is unrivalled. When we turn out in our thousands, we are a symbol of the working people of Australia.
So this year, bring a friend, a relative, a neighbour. Why? Because Labour Day is for all of us and it’s ours to celebrate with those that we love.
This year when we march, please join us.
