Professional Experience Partnership Agreements
New Professional Experience Partnership Agreements (PEPAs) have been developed to support the hosting of preservice teacher placements across all three education sectors: state schools, catholic schools and independent schools. The PEPAs reflect national requirements for initial teacher education, represent the mutual responsibilities between Higher Education Institutions (HEI) and the Queensland schooling sectors and make explicit that supervising teacher payments are made directly to the teacher. The Department has also developed PEPA guidelines for state schools which is a versatile and practical resource focused on placements. The QTU was involved in the development of these resources.
