QTU State Budget Submission 2016-17
The success of our endeavours in public education is entirely contingent on the annual budget allocation by government to this critical component of its contribution to a civil society.
The QTU seeks to influence the budget through the provision of a State Budget Submission.
Copies of the QTU Budget Submission are forwarded to politicians, education stakeholders and QTU decision-makers to inform conversations about the upcoming state budget.
Spending in education is an investment in the future of all Queenslanders. The QTU is committed to a vision for public education to continue to be of the highest quality. The new Labor government has espoused a similar view. We must ensure the state budget reflects the values we share and that education funding is prioritised to deliver on this vision.
