National Safe Work Month

A safe and healthy workplace is a fundamental right. That is why each October, organisations across Australia recognise National Safe Work Month, so that we can raise awareness of WHS and take action to achieve our vision of safe and healthy work.
This year’s theme, Safety: Every Job, Every Day, encourages all workplaces — regardless of occupation, industry, location, and size — to prioritise safety in their job every day.
As publicised in the previous Journal and other QTU communications, the QTU has developed a series of webinars on a range of WHS issues that impact on our members in their workplaces. These provide pathways to creating safe and healthy workplaces, and will be rolled out throughout October.
