Roselynne Anderson - QTU Scholarship

Scholarship details

In 2021 the QTU’s Special Education Committee recommended to the QTU Executive the establishment of a Roselynne Anderson Scholarship.

Each year, eligible QTU members will be awarded a scholarship up to the value of $2000 to assist with expenses associated with undertaking professional development or training or further tertiary education relevant to special education, school leadership or women in education.

Eligible members will complete the scholarship application form which will be considered by the QTU.

Scholarship eligibility criteria

✔️ Applicants must be financial QTU members

✔️ Applicants must be undertaking or preparing to undertake professional development or training or further tertiary education relevant to special education, school leadership or women in education

✔️ Applicants must complete an application which will outline how the scholarship funds will be used

✔️ Applicants will commit to providing the QTU a brief report at the conclusion of the scholarship period outlining how the scholarship has contributed to their professional career development

Application checklist

1. Complete the online application - opened to all members from Monday 13 July via this page.
2. Submit a cover letter* addressing the scholarship criteria
3. Attach relevant documents e.g., receipts, invoices

Cover letter requirement*

• the professional development, training or further tertiary education the applicant is undertaking or preparing to undertake
• how the activity is relevant to one or more of the following:
  • special education,
  • school leadership and/or
  • women in education
• how the scholarship will assist the applicant’s professional career development
• how the applicant has demonstrated support for the QTU
• how the scholarship funds will be used.
