New federal TAFE campaign brand
Today, the QTU President Cresta Richardson and the TAFE representative on QTU Executive, Scottie Tibaldi, were in Canberra to help launch the new federal campaign in support of public provision of vocational education: Rebuild With TAFE.
After extensive feedback from TAFE members, our TAFE supporters and the public, we’re thrilled to launch a brand that talks about the critical role TAFE has always played in Australia and must continue to play post COVID-19.
We’ve created a new website (www.rebuildwithtafe.org.au) where you can sign up as a supporter and watch and share our first campaign video, featuring retro space-invaders!
Public providers like TAFE Queensland and Central Queensland University provide high quality vocational education and have changed the lives of millions of Australians. With hundreds of campuses all around the country, the TAFE network is essential to Queensland and Australia as a whole as we rebuild in response to the COVID crisis.
TAFE is perfectly positioned to provide skills, jobs, purpose and opportunities to millions more Australians, helping create a positive future for all of us.
But as you know, TAFE has suffered challenges. These have included federal government funding neglect and competition policy prioritising dodgy for-profit providers, not to mention the policies of previous state governments aimed at undermining public provision.
Right now is the time Australia needs TAFE more than ever before, but it's also the time TAFE needs funding more than ever before.
Will you add your voice and tell the government to #RebuildWithTAFE for a positive future? Take action now at www.rebuildwithtafe.org.au.
