Robyn Sugden’s commitment and dedication to the QTU is evident through the many varied roles she has taken on across all levels of the QTU, from the workplace and branch levels through to committees and Executive. She was a Workplace Rep at Woombye SS from 1984, then Burnside SS and finally at Yaninda SS. Throughout these years within the Nambour Branch, Robyn was branch Vice-President, President and delegate to Area Council and State Council.
Robyn was a long-standing member of the Women Teachers and Girls Education Committee from 2004 and was elected to QTU Executive in 2006, remaining a member throughout the remainder of her career.
At the local level, Robyn was the QTU representative to the QCU – Sunshine Coast Branch from 2007 and was well-regarded for her excellence as President, organising the Sunshine Coast Labour Day activities annually. She became a QTU Life Member in 2017.
