With years three, five, seven and nine now sitting their NAPLAN tests, it’s important to remind yourself of the contents of the joint statement negotiated between the QTU and the department.
The key elements of the NAPLAN Joint Statement include:
- how NAPLAN data is to be used
- ensuring that preparation activities are related to the mode and conditions of the test
- familiarisation activities should only be conducted in the vicinity of the test.
Additionally, the joint statement acknowledges that “families must be supported to make informed decisions in the best interests of their children”.
