A temporary TAFE Project Officer role has been established by the QTU to provide information and a first point of contact for enquiries regarding working conditions for TAFE Queensland and CQU VET educators.

The position ensures that current, accurate and accessible information is available to members, QTAD and other officers dealing with member enquiries.
Following normal QTU recruitment and selection practices, a call for expressions of interest was circulated to current employees. Following submissions from interested staff, Clare Holmes (pictured) was appointed to the position, commencing on 18 March. Clare’s substantive role is Secretary to the Deputy General Secretary (Member Services)
Clare comes to the project officer role with significant experience of TAFE Queensland, having previously been employed by TAFE Queensland Skills Tech, where she worked closely with teaching teams at the Eagle Farm campus.
We welcome Clare to the role and are grateful for the experience she brings to the position and her enthusiasm for all things TAFE.
